While Bernie Mev is a staple for department stores and high-end boutiques, they needed a website rebrand and to implement a UX design. Customers needed to be able to navigate the site and shop quickly. With busy women in their 40s as the primary audience, Bernie Mev wanted to create a seamless experience for them to browse and purchase their favorite footwear.

From the home page, women need to know that their footwear needs are met in Bernie Mev. They are looking for comfort, without sacrificing style, so the hero image reminds them of just that–it invites them to Shop Now. The home page contains everything needed to perfect their shopping experience.
The four major product categories are called out, with enticing images and hover animation that invites shoppers to click.
If a shopper has no idea where to start, a charming carousel highlights customer favorites and best-sellers. The “Quick Add” feature calls up a window to choose the size and color, adding to the cart without leaving the home page, making for a fast, simple shopping solution for busy women.
Comfort is the priority for Bernie Mev’s customers, so a graphic explains the craftsmanship of the shoes and stand-out features. The memory foam sole offers balance and shock absorption. The signature handmade woven elastic, knit, and leather enhance flexibility and durability while offering a distinctive, modern style.
A UX Design That Anyone (Even Your Mom!) Can Use
It’s critical to create an intuitive design that puts the customer’s wants front and center. We implemented a fixed header so customers can always find what they’re looking for on the site. A “new” button highlights recent releases in one section, and then women can shop by shoe type or the upper material, giving them the flexibility to shop their way.
