Key Takeaways:
- Rooster’s Pursuit needed a website that explained the game and intrigued parents.
- e9digital crafted a user-friendly website with vibrant colors to draw attention.
- Now, the board game has a family-focused site to increase awareness.
Childhood may only last a short time, but the memories last a lifetime–and that’s what Stephanie Pedi hopes to achieve with Rooster’s Pursuit. The family-friendly tabletop card game features a charming rooster named Ralph attempting to build the perfect coop. But her current website didn’t capture the magic of the game.
Stephanie turned to e9digital to construct a colorful website that helped bring the game to life by mimicking the fun, interactive elements. Our team needed to launch a platform to generate awareness for the game, enticing people with each click.
“We love to work with game designers, having previously created the website for Multiplicity of Pursuits.” - Jesse Cohen, Creative Director | e9digital

40% of consumers value color the most among visual website elements
e9digital had to ensure that the game website appealed to parents looking for a fun activity for their children. We had to walk a fine line: legally, we didn’t want the website to target children who would purchase the game without a parent’s permission.
That’s why it was so critical to get the colors right. We took inspiration from the cards in the game and Ralph the Rooster, using navy, dark green, orange, and yellow backgrounds to draw the eyes to important sections on the site. A bright white highlights the menu, which sticks to the top of the page as the parent scrolls, simplifying navigation.
To make the website pop for parents and kids, e9digital:
- Crafted fun, concise copy that offered a preview of the game.
- Implemented quirky design elements like wavy borders and chicken feet footprints.
- Included social proof (game reviews) so parents could get first-hand accounts of the game.
- Designed a tutorial page with videos to show how easy it is to play Rooster’s Pursuit.
The images throughout the site came from the board game, making Ralph the rooster come to life in a new, exciting way.

“e9digital did an amazing job bringing my website to life.” – Stephanie Pedi, Creator | Rooster’s Pursuit
Now, Stephanie has a site optimized with WordPress best practices that she can use to draw in more hens and chicks (or kids and families!) to play the game. “e9digital had a strong creative and administrative side. The project as a whole was amazing: communication, the creative, the vision, and how it was formatted,” she said in our post-launch meeting.
