Key Takeaways:
- Closing Calcs needed a website to explain their game-changing app for commercial real estate.
- e9digital crafted a modern site that laid out the app on one page, an industry best practice.
- The site is gaining interest, with a 24% increase in traffic in the past month.
Commercial real estate has one major thorn in its side: the calculation of the closing numbers. Typically, they’re calculated at the last minute with multiple parties involved. Each one provides closing numbers in their own format–and oftentimes, the math doesn’t line up.
That’s why William Yagoda and Douglas Segal founded Closing Calcs, an app aimed to streamline and clarify the antiquated commercial real estate transaction process. The app combines all stakeholders in one place ahead of closing day, including purchasers, sellers, lenders, title companies, and real estate attorneys, making it easier for them to share their numbers sooner.
Closing Calcs needed a logo to build brand recognition and a simple marketing website to promote the app to their target market. e9digital was brought onto the project in two ways: we helped our sister agency develop the app, and then we created the website and logo. Closing Calcs trusted us for the job because of our professionalism–they saw how our capabilities could help them grow this idea into a full-blown product.
57% of people won’t recommend a website if it doesn’t work on Google
This is even more important for phone apps–there must be a seamless UI/UX experience from website discovery to app download. We created a one-page website, an industry standard for promoting new apps.
The team at e9digital started with the logo. Closing Calcs needed something clear and professional to create brand awareness, connecting the app to the website.
Our designer used their name’s basic shapes to create an abstract logo.
Then, they utilized orange to stand out in the real estate market, which typically uses blues and greens.

The website took design inspiration from the logo, following modern design principles and UI/UX best practices, including:
- Streamlined content that concisely explains the app to its target market.
- A sticky header that directs users to how the app works, the features offered, and the benefits.
- Enticing iconography of the app interface that leads people down the page.
- Engaging calls to action that hit the main problems the target market faces.
The website explains the app while showcasing its premium features, encouraging the target audience to schedule a demo and explore its full potential.
A measured success: website traffic has been up 24% in the last 30 days
The response to the website has been phenomenal, with traffic increasing 24% in the last 30 days. After the project was completed, the client was pleased with the modern design and site layout. Few changes were made from the initial concept to the final design, thanks to the kickoff meeting, where we gained a deep understanding of the client’s needs.
