Evolving CI Group’s website from a family business to a marketing powerhouse

No matter how well a website is designed on the first go-around, trends change! While skinny jeans were a popular style in the 2010s, now, people often pass them up for looser, 1990s-inspired styles. The same idea applies to website design–even big-time marketing agencies like CI Group need help from the pros at e9digital. They needed our expertise to make their website appeal to their target audience and position their services like a pair of cool baggy jeans.

CI Group has been a loyal client for years after our designers rebuilt their first website a few years ago. The company services corporations looking for end-to-end solutions with branded marketing. Initially starting as a branded merch company, CI Group merged with digital agency Christensen Tamburri Communications, becoming a one-stop shop led by Eric Turiansky (with a rich family ad legacy dating back to the ’80s!). They do everything from strategy to conception, including designing, branding, tech stuff, kitting, sending, and analyzing. 

They recently requested a few updates to modernize their website, reflect new brand colors, and add animation to their home page. Our team’s challenge was enhancing the website while maintaining a seamless experience with the original elements and succinctly communicating the company’s services. While they merged eight years ago, they had never incorporated the new services onto their website.

Website content with engaging images gets 94% more views

Our team started with a kickoff meeting to fully understand what CI Group needed for their website. After that, it was off to the races!

We started with the hero image–our designers and copywriter created a scrolling welcome banner with bold typography to showcase their services. Animations like these encourage the user to stay on the page and show a higher level of professionalism, which is critical for a company with a target audience like corporations. Not to mention, it showcases the wide range of services and branding options that CI Group offers.

When a company does it all, it can be difficult for consumers to zero in on what they actually do. So, our team had to produce an area on the homepage that showcased the depth of their services–a puzzle we loved solving!

 Our team created the End-to-End Solutions area, a four-quadrant design that demonstrated the brand colors, named each distinct service, and used white space to create a clean, easy-to-read design. Each service highlights white when the user’s arrow hovers over it, signaling they can click and learn more on an interior page. Changing the color of the CTA button like this can increase conversions by up to 21%.
