The fear of needles affects up to 25% of adults. However, revolutionary products from Satio give people the chance to skip a traditional shot and use a painless patch instead. With their patent-pending designs, patients can access simple, affordable options to draw blood, mix reagents, and detect an array of pathogens, all on a patch placed on your arm. Satio patch technology can be used at home, possibly eliminating the need for administration by medical professionals (eventually!).
Satio is under the Sapphiros brand of companies, spearheaded by visionary CEO Namal Nawana. After working on three websites together, including Neoenta, GoToKnow, and Biocrucible, Namal trusted us to work on this revolutionary product.
The site for Satio had its unique challenges. The company came to us with a simple logo, plus image and video renderings of a new device to test blood affordably and conveniently. However, they needed an expert to use these assets to craft a website that told the Satio story, engaging their target market. Our designers’ task was to turn this into a modern, UX-designed website that would be easy for investors to navigate (one of the most effective ways to increase conversions) and show off this revolutionary innovation.
Additionally, our team had to accommodate changes on the website due to team transitions at Satio, such as multiple iterations of imagery, animated functionality, content, and layout. Time was of the essence in this project. With fast-approaching partner meetings, the company needed the first version of the website in 10 days. Aside from the expedited timeline, we needed to attract investors, too, with a modern, professional site that was easy to use. While it was a fast-paced job, our designers love a challenge and are proud to stick to deadlines that meet our client’s needs.
Your website needs to be there for investors to find. The first thing a company should do when trying to attract financial backers is to invest in a professional design. As soon as the investor lands on the page, they should know what the company offers. That’s why the hero image is so important. It conveys copy that distills the brand into one sentence and imagery that evokes confidence in the product. Plus, it’s a proof of concept, the first peek into what an investor will be funding.
For Satio, we implemented animated images of their four products alongside the phrase “knowing now moves us.” The appeal of the patch is that people can use it at home for self-diagnostics. With Satio, consumers can move forward in plans to improve their health.
Our designer took inspiration from the products, using the static bold orange to highlight information and buttons throughout. The website started with one unique landing page, which follows e9digital best practices for medical technology companies, by including:
- A hero image that clearly defines the product.
- A portfolio callout that showcases the benefits of the product.
- A partners section that highlights the Sapphiros family of brands
- An about section that digs deep into the benefits of the Satio products.
- A news section that links exciting press about the Satio brand.
- A final CTA that encourages investors to reach out–this is crucial for any website. Once someone has reviewed the information on the homepage, they’re more likely to complete a conversion.
Websites need at least 10-30 pages of well-crafted content to boost SEO
As the company evolved, the website had to as well. Satio now has four products in development: SatioDx™, SatioRx™, SatioDot™, and SatioDraw™. Our team helped offer naming options for the different devices related to their functionality and created product pages for each to help boost SEO.
“We wanted the names to be simple, explanatory, and inviting since drawing blood can be a scary experience.” - Tim Kirchoff, Lead Designer and Developer | e9digital
Each page had to tell the product’s story, informing the investors of their benefits and how they would meet the needs of the eventual target market. To do so, we included on every product page:
- A hero section that introduces the products and defines their uses.
- An informative section that outlines the problem the product is solving
- A detailed graphic that breaks down each part of the device
- A partner section to highlight other stakeholders in the device.
- A contact form that shows the picture of the executive in charge of each product.
This information gives investors confidence and clarity about every option in the Satio portfolio.
