For over 25 years, bicoastal Michilli has been a go-to general contractor for luxury retail, residential, and commercial projects. However, their previous website was about 20 years old and didn’t reflect the elite level of their services to their US-based clients. Plus, they needed a portal so their subcontractors could easily access drawings and other critical project pieces.

After seeing the limited capacity of other agencies, Michilli chose e9digital based on the quality and complexity of the projects we’d delivered. After speaking with e9’s Managing Partner and President, Conrad Strabone, they felt confident in our approach and that we could take them into the future with a lasting design. We’ve designed many websites in the luxury construction space, including Transcend Construction and Capital Projects Consultants.

“You can be the best at what you do, but if your website doesn’t make you look like the best, people won’t take the next step.” — Conrad Strabone, Managing Partner & President | e9digital

70% of websites will use animated transitions for increased engagement in 2026

And our team likes to be ahead of the curve. For Michilli, animation wasn’t about bells and whistles—it was about creating a refined, intentional entrance that immediately communicates luxury, confidence, and craft. We designed an experience that unfolds with purpose, guiding visitors in rather than shouting for attention.

Here’s how we brought that vision to life:

  • A cinematic first impression: We introduced a dark loading screen anchored by the Michilli logo, evolving into a custom animation inspired by the logo’s linework—less “loading,” more “welcome in.”
  • Animation with intention: The logo lines animate, complete their form, and open into a signature arch that literally welcomes users into the site, setting the tone for a refined digital experience.
  • Streamlined, intuitive navigation: We condensed the sitemap into a cleaner, more intentional menu that stays consistent across the site, making it easier for users to find what they need without friction.
  • Brand details woven throughout: The curve of the Michilli logo carries through iconography, layouts, and subtle background treatments, creating a cohesive, high-end visual language.
Elevated typography and layout: A stylized serif for headlines paired with a modern font for body copy delivers the boutique, luxury feel Michilli is known for without sacrificing readability.

Creating a user-friendly subcontractor portal for instant communication

Beyond the public-facing experience, we built a streamlined subcontractor portal designed to make doing business with Michilli refreshingly simple. We reduced copy, clarified workflows, and introduced bold, easy-to-find action buttons, especially in high-traffic areas like “Get Paid” and “Become a Partner.”

The intuitive experience allows subcontractors to quickly access drawings, submit information, and move projects forward without friction. It’s not flashy, and that’s the point. It works.

Michilli’s traffic increased by 25% in the first month after launch

“Everybody in the company loves our new website. I haven’t received any bad comments or even a suggestion. Our new site was only up for a week, and the increase in traffic was impressive. e9digital was the right partner for us.” — Sofia Davila, Marketing Coordinator | Michilli

Michilli’s new website is a digital reflection of the precision, confidence, and craftsmanship they bring to every project. From a refined animated entrance to a streamlined navigation and a purpose-built subcontractor portal, every detail was designed to elevate the brand. The results speak for themselves: a 25% increase in traffic in just the first month and a website the entire Michilli team is proud to stand behind.
