Kathryn Farley is a Juilliard-trained actress with a doctorate in Performance Studies from Northwestern University. After relocating to New York City to pursue acting professionally, she needed a polished online presence built for agents and other entertainment industry decision-makers.
Kathryn wanted to update her website to bring her past and present acting work together in one cohesive place. The new site needed modern design, improved usability, and additional content, including photography, videos, her résumé, and supporting materials.
She chose e9digital because she considered our own online presence exemplary and trusted us to create a website that would represent her with the same level of professionalism. Plus, we’ve created many websites for entertainment industry professionals, including Elizabeth Rovere’s Wonderstruck Podcast and award-winning playwright Selina Fillinger.
The project also came with a tight curtain call. Following a May 27 kickoff meeting, the website needed to launch by August 1.
Creating a Streamlined Digital Audition
The team knew that an actor’s website should work like a great audition. It needs to make a strong impression quickly, show the right material, and give decision-makers a clear reason to keep watching. Visitors often leave a webpage within 10 to 20 seconds.1 For an actress trying to reach busy agents and casting directors, every headshot, reel, credit, and call to action needs to earn its place.
e9digital designed Kathryn’s site around exactly what agents and casting directors need to evaluate her work. To ensure her vision was closely achieved, our project manager worked closely with her. Our website designers:
- Created a visually striking hero section with image highlighting and a custom initials-based logo mark.
- Organized the site with navigation covering her resume, work, videos, gallery, and training.
- Added a “View Showreel” callout so visitors could quickly watch a compilation of her performances.
- Built a credibility bar featuring her location, credits, years of experience, and a downloadable résumé.
- Incorporated prominent photography, industry profile links, and clear contact and representation details.
Every element earned its place. Like a well-run Broadway production, the site stays focused on what the audience came to see. There are no fillers, no unnecessary detours, and no hunting for the information needed to make contact.
A Focused Website for a Growing Career
“I’m just thrilled. I like everything.” — Kathryn Farley
In roughly two months, e9digital transformed Kathryn’s online presence into a modern, visual, and focused professional resource. The finished website presents her experience and abilities clearly while making it easy for agents and casting directors to view her work and take the next step.
Whether you are building a personal brand or running a growing company, your website often gets the first audition. e9digital creates strategic, custom websites that help the right people understand your value and reach out.
